The Legal Requirements You Need to Know

What you may not know is that every individual cosmetic tattoo artist is obligated to have their own 'Personal Appearance Services Licence' approved with their local council PRIOR to performing any cosmetic tattoo treatments.

This licence also needs to be clearly visible in the clinic for you [the client] to check at any time.

What This Licence Means for Your Safety

• Council Inspection: The council has inspected the premise to ensure it is correctly setup in the most hygienic layout with appropriate equipment
• Proper Training: Your artist has completed the required training accreditation to perform the treatments you are requesting (yes there are many non-accredited courses!)
• Visible Verification: The licence must be clearly visible in the clinic for you to check at any time
• Current Certification: This is not a 'once off' licence - the date on the certificate needs to be current, as it is re-approved annually!

What This Means for YOU

This is ALL of the HIGHEST IMPORTANCE as it means you are in the safest hands possible and your artist has not cut corners in order to have your business.

If you request to see this licence and they cannot simply point it out on the wall; or worse; not even provide it... our advice... WALK OUT!
